Robotic Additive Manufacturing

Overview

Robotmaster® can be used for programming robotic additive manufacturing processes including fused deposition modeling (FDM), laser metal fusion (LMF), laser metal deposition (LMD) including laser cladding, deposition welding, composite lay-up, and 3D printing.

Advantages of Robotmaster for robotive additive manufacturing

Robotic additive manufacturing is often used in the automotive and aerospace industries for tasks such as building new parts, prototyping, or performing repairs. With Robotmaster, robotic programs for additive manufacturing applications can be generated from CAD models and subsequently modified with minimal effort to adjust for all process-based parameters. Benefits include:

  • Easy and error free robotic programming

  • Optimal use of the robot's kinematics for superior motion control

  • Visual validation by simulating material buildup

Intercam SA is the distributor of Robotmaster for non-cutting applications. Intercam SA provides sales, training, services, and support for Robotmaster and offers value-added add-on modules to broaden Robotmaster's capabilities outside of Hypertherm® cutting applications.
