Robotmaster 2024 is now available!

Program multi-robot cells and automatically solve robotic errors with ease in Robotmaster 2024.

Hypertherm Associates announces a new version to its robotic programming software. Robotmaster® 2024 addresses key market trends including the support for programming multiple robots in a single work cell and the demand for single-click optimization and error resolution.

Auto solve! Automatic optimization and error correction

One of the major new features in Robotmaster 2024 is Auto Solve, which leverages the power of many of Robotmaster's tools to offer users a way to programmatically achieve error-free operations.

Robotmaster’s optimization and error correction tools encapsulated into one. With a single click, Robotmaster automatically employs a suite of optimization tools to optimize robot trajectories and correct robotic errors. The new Auto Solve tool builds on Robotmaster’s reputation as being intuitive and easy-to-use, increasing user productivity and reducing the need for robotic expertise.

Sequential multi-robot cells

Use Robotmaster to program several robots in your work cell in a sequential manner. Utilize Robotmaster’s powerful programming tools and unmatched optimization strategies now in multi-robot cells. Another way Robotmaster enables users to shorten cycle times and boost output.

In addition, Robotmaster 2024 offers significant customer-driven improvements in UI (user interface), UX (user experience), the Cell and Tooling editor, and performance that will facilitate the programming experience for our users.

Release Highlights

Robotmaster Auto Solve

Robotmaster 2024 features the new Auto Solve function! Auto Solve is a single-click path optimization and error correction tool that makes it easier and faster for users to achieve optimized and error-free programs without the need for programming or robotics expertise. The Auto Solve algorithm automatically applies axis configuration, optimization, and rotary settings, among others, to achieve error-free operations. Some of the advantages of Auto Solve are:

  • Simplify the programming process and make it more efficient
  • Minimize the number of manual interactions required from the user
  • Tackle complex programming tasks with fewer errors and in less time
  • Improve the user programming experience, making it more streamlined and less time-consuming
Sequential multi-robot cells

Robotmaster 2024 supports multi-robot cells to create and validate sequential programs. Multi-robot cells are common in the industry since they allow manufactures to reduce cycle times and increase production rates by adding more robots to the process. Robotmaster is now able to support multi-robot cells performing different processes in a sequential manner.

  • Apply all the well-known Robotmaster programming tools and processor packages to multi-robot sequential cells
  • Support different processes and applications in the same cell environment
  • Multi-robot cells are fully supported by the Robotmaster Cell Editor, including cell creation and commissioning
User Interface and User Experience Improvements

Continuous enhancements in Robotmaster that improve user programming efficiency and experience:

  • Retrieve robot home position directly from the simulator:
    • The robot posture can now be set directly from the viewport and use it to save the home approach and retract points. No more manual typing of joint values!
  • Enhancements to the transform function:
    • The transform coordinates can now be reset to zero while performing incremental transformations of CAD elements and frames.
  • New progress bar and cancel option for calculation:
    • Robotmaster displays the calculation progress and allows for stopping the process if the user desires.
  • Enhancements in file management:
    • When opening and loading files, Robotmaster points to smart locations depending on the menu selected.
    • Robotmaster now displays the list of recent files for easy access.
  • Snapping to CAD features is now available in the Device pane.
  • The axis configuration scanning process can now be cancelled.
  • Improved manual transition point display:
    • Visuals of the transition point list have been simplified. Editing is now easier, and only the relevant information is shown to the user.
  • Enhancements in CAD geometries management:
    • It is now possible to merge geometries belonging to different CAD parts into an existing one, in a single step.
  • Improved right-side panel:
    • The right side panel is now optimized to manage several sections and menus opened at the same time.
Other Improvements

Customer-driven enhancements have been incorporated in the CAM, Spray painting, and device modules:

  • Spray Module enhancements:
    • Better simulation of spray coverage regardless of the number of interpolated points.
    • Spray simulation takes into consideration the part visibility settings.
  • CAM module enhancements:
    • Arc filtering has been greatly improved, leading to smother paths and a reduced number of points, ideal for robotic programming!
    • Improvements in the path offset algorithm, to avoid part gauging at corners.
  • Device module improvements:
    • Improved robot simulation for interpolated arc moves.
    • The axis configuration visual helper for profile tracking takes into account the z-direction of the TCP.
    • Events in the point list are now kept after re-ordering operations that belong to the same setup.
    • Improvements in workspace visualization for Kawasaki robots in the simulator.
Performance Enhancements

Continues performance enhancements done in Robotmaster 2024

  • When task interpolation is being used, Robotmaster 2024 is on average 20 times faster than previous versions in file opening/saving, and when importing NC files.
